Event Overview
Overview of the 2013 Event:
We are now in our sixth year of the rally. The event is held a few miles north of Pelican Rapids, MN (between Fergus Falls and Detroit lakes) on a farm which is located on Grove Lake. The sight is absolutely beautiful and has amazing acoustics.
Our intent is to have an event that is biker friendly and also family friendly. While it is a biker rally we welcome any type of rider as well as anyone who would like to come without an
attitude.
There is a nominal registration fee of $5 and camping is $10 per site. Meals are provided on a
free-will offering basis. Given our low fees and the cost involved, we do accept
donations.
There will be bands playing Friday night and throughout Saturday. We have bike games that are mostly geared toward kids on the back of bikes. On Saturday we have a People’s Choice
bike contest with 4 categories (people are given ballots and select their favorite bikes in each of the categories). We also have games, fishing, vendors, jalopy rides, and a host of other activities.
Friday evening is a “Celebration of Sobriety,” a party to celebrate sober living. We will have a meal, a ride to get dessert, a gathering hosted by Loran Behmer of the Fish House and a concert by the Fat Cats. Area recovery groups are invented to participate as well as anyone who just wants to come and have a good time.
Saturday Morning is a time dedicated to honoring Freedom Fighters. The meeting and memorial ride is to honor those who have paid for our freedom and pray for those who need healing from the trauma of combat. The Pelican Rapids VFW will present colors. Veteran Rod Volker will share music and speak. Following the gathering we will go on a short ride to honor and bring healing to those who have served us.
